Adult Small Groups
“…to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-13
Why Small Groups Ministry?
First Baptist Church is committed to fulfilling the mandate of making disciples as directed in Matthew 28:19-20. Realizing that there are three essential elements to the discipling process: truth, relationships, and service, we have developed a small group ministry to help in the fulfillment of our purpose. We call these small groups – FLOCK groups.
The FLOCK provides an environment for the nurturing of Biblical fellowship which is the result of our common relationship with Jesus Christ.
The FLOCK provides a way of strengthening existing leaders, and the development of new and future leaders in the church.
The FLOCK encourages a personal emphasis on reaching out to those in one’s sphere of influence.
The FLOCK provides a means of ministering to fellow believers.
The FLOCK provides teaching and instruction in God’s Word that increases the members knowledge of both Biblical content and application.
The different Flock Groups meet at various days, times and places on the first and third weeks of the month.
