Our family 2007 - 2Ken Southworth came to FBC in September 2004. On Sundays you’ll find him preaching at our Gathered Worship as well as providing teaching in numerous other ministry areas. Ken also provides a Biblical Counseling Ministry and is responsible as our “Elder Over Evangelization” to provide the strategic vision for FBC’s Missions and Outreach.  He is our only vocational Elder. Ken and his wife, Kathy, have four children; three who are adults as well as one daughter still living at home.

 

  

Bob HuntBob Hunt, born in Sidney, has attended FBC since early childhood. Following his salvation, Bob was baptised and joined the church in 1951. He is responsible as our “Elder Over Exalting” where he provides oversight in all the ministries involved in FBC’s Gathered Worship times. This includes the music ministry, Praise Team, audio/visual aspects, ushers/greeters, etc.  Bob was a Mathematics Teacher for Sidney Central School for many years and served a major portion of those years as Chariman of the Mathematics Departments.  

  

 

Peter PlayersPeter Players is our “Elder Over Edification”. This puts all the ministries of FBC that deal primarily with  the encouraging and building-up of one another under his oversight. This includes the Hospitality Committee, Fellowship Times, Caring Ministries, Women’s Ministry, First Place, Men’s Breakfast, Prayer Chain, Flock Groups as well as the ministries of our Deaconesses. Pete and Marilyn have a daughter and a son who through their families have blessed the Players with four granddaughters and one grandson.

 

 

 Floyd Prouty                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Floyd Prouty is a retired elementary school administrator. He is our “Elder Over Equipping” which involves our Christian Education program and its various ministries. Those areas of responsibility include the C. E. Committee, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Youth, TeamKIDS, New Members training, Baptism training, Men’s Bible Studies, and Ladies Bible Studies. 

 

 

 

George SmithGeorge Smith is our “Elder Over Edifice” and works closely with FBC’s Deacons maintaining our Church’s facilities. George came to Christ in 1971 and has been an active member of FBC since that time. He is currently on the Youth Committee with regular participation in the Youth Group as well as leading the Sojourners, one of our Flock Groups. George and his wife Susan have two children; an adult daughter who is currently living in Germany and a son who is still in High School.
